Your Guide to Fall at Our Mountain Retreat

There's nowhere quite like the Pocono Mountains in fall. From late September through November, the hills around our home turn into a rolling patchwork of gold, amber, and crimson — and it's the perfect home base for leaf peeping, apple picking, cozy nights by the fire, and small-town harvest festivals. Here's what's waiting for you just minutes from our door.

🍁 Chase the Fall Foliage

The Poconos are famous for some of the best leaf-peeping in the Northeast. Take a scenic drive along the region's mountain roads, ride a scenic chairlift at Blue Mountain for panoramic views of the changing canopy, or hit one of the 260+ miles of local trails for a hike through the color. Photographers and couples especially love the mountaintop lift rides for postcard-worthy views.

🎃 Pumpkin Patches & Harvest Festivals

Fall in the Poconos means cider donuts, hayrides, and corn mazes. Don't miss:

  • The Great Pocono Pumpkin Festival at Country Junction — carnival rides, live entertainment, and pumpkins galore (Sept 26–Oct 25)

  • Hawley Harvest Hoedown (Oct 3–4) in the charming town of Hawley

  • Jim Thorpe Fall Foliage Festival — weekends Oct 3–18 in one of the most picturesque towns in PA

  • Quiet Valley Harvest Festival (Oct 10–11) — a working farm celebration with heritage crafts

  • Pocono Food Truck Festival (Oct 10–11) — great for foodies

🎢 Family-Friendly Thrills

Camelback Resort and Blue Mountain both stay open through fall with mountain coasters, ziplining, mini golf, ropes courses, and waterparks (indoor and outdoor) — great for families who want more than just a scenic drive.

🍺 Local Flavor

Warm up with a local brew or glass of wine at one of the area's breweries and wineries, many of which host fall-themed events. Barley Creek Brewing Company in Tannersville is a local favorite.

👻 Something Spooky

If your guests are into Halloween, the Poconos deliver — haunted houses, "Grand Witches Ball" events, and after-dark high ropes courses add a little seasonal thrill.

🏡 And Then... Come Home to Us

After a full day outdoors, there's nothing better than coming back to a warm, comfortable home in the mountains — a fireplace, a hot tub under the stars, and space to relax with the people you love. That's exactly what we offer.
